PSYCHOTHERAPY CONSULTATION & COACHING

“Between stimulus and response there lies a space, and, in that space, there lies our freedom.” – Viktor Frankl

Therapy creates a space for growth and development by addressing transitions, life events, relationships, and personal challenges. I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist, and I use a flexible approach that integrates cognitive-behavioral and coaching techniques tailored to each individual’s needs. This helps clients better understand themselves, manage emotions, and develop healthy patterns. I work with individuals, couples, and families both in person and virtually. Additionally, I offer consultation appointments and clinical supervision for LCSW licensing and practice consultation for mental health professionals.

I work with individuals of all ages to support insight, growth, and address life challenges. Some specific areas I regularly work with include:

EMOTIONAL REGULATION
– DEPRESSION
– ANXIETY
SELF-ESTEEM
RELATIONSHIPS / MARRIAGE
PARENTING / FAMILY / ADOPTION
GRIEF & LOSS

TRAUMA
ADDICTION / FAMILY DYNAMICS
CHRONIC PAIN / HEALTH CHALLENGES
NEUROLOGICAL CHALLENGES
TRANSITIONS / MOVES
COLLEGE / CAREER

Whether you are new to therapy or familiar with it, creating space along with professional support can be powerful in helping you work through what holds you back and move towards what you instinctively strive for in the next chapter of your life.

“Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.” – Rumi

PSYCHODYNAMIC PSYCHOTHERAPY

Psychodynamic psychotherapy is ideal for individuals looking to uncover the root causes of persistent problems and recurring patterns that impact relationships and overall fulfillment. This approach emphasizes the significance of past and present relationships in shaping emotional life and psychological struggles. Together, the therapist and client explore unconscious dynamics, attachment issues, and how interpersonal patterns impact current experiences. Through this collaborative relationship, clients gain insight, resolve conflicts, and develop healthier ways of relating to others and themselves.

CONSULTATION / SUPERVISION

I offer clinical case and practice consultation, as well as clinical supervision for LCSW licensing. Therapists need to have the resources and partnerships required to navigate the complexities and challenges of our work. Just as with our clients, we benefit from space to develop and find the creativity that inspires our best work. I view consultation and supervision as opportunities for professionals to access essential self-care and find working with other clinicians dynamic and rewarding.

COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is best suited for addressing specific issues and behaviors. It effectively targets distorted thinking patterns, helps manage symptoms in the short term, and develops practical strategies to change unhelpful behaviors. CBT focuses on identifying and challenging negative thoughts and beliefs to promote healthier coping mechanisms and more adaptive ways of thinking and behaving.

COACHING

Support for identifying specific strategies to meet goals often works in tandem with therapeutic efforts to address obstacles to reaching desired outcomes.

Let’s get started! I appreciate the opportunity to connect briefly with prospective clients before the first meeting to establish goodness of fit, and in this conversation, I am happy to answer any questions.
